Due Outs • Col. Spragg gave his intent regarding infrastructure priorities after a question on parking lot striping and the 780th. The garrison commander indicated he recognized the roads around Fort Meade are not great and need work. His first priority for funding and action is the security and safety of Fort Meade and its people as the highest priority, then infrastructure such as roads, potholes, barracks, buildings, and access control points. He mentioned this has been the wettest year in Maryland recorded history, and mold and building stresses have impacted priorities, but garrison priorities are consistent with the primary mission of securing the safety of Fort Meade employees and maintaining effective security for our Fort Meade community. • PAIO had a question on retirees not being able to use the ICE system without a CAC (Common Access Card). PAIO said access to the ICE system is web-based and does not require a CAC to input into the system. • The DGC-Transportation talked about the shuttle service provided by MTA with Route 504 from the Odenton MARC Station to Fort Meade. LTC Floyd made a point that the route’s continued service is predicated on the consistent use by the right number of Fort Meade employees. He also said the shuttle’s schedule has been adjusted to coincide with the MARC train schedule to better meet the needs of shuttle users.
