Satisfaction. “You open your hand, and satisfy the desire of every living thing” - Psalm 145:16 -. Mankind Has Needs. God made mankind with physical needs to be satisfied (Genesis 1:28-29; Prov. 5:19) God made mankind with spiritual needs to be satisfied (Gen. 1:27; Acts 17:27)

Mankind Has Needs • God made mankind with physical needs to be satisfied (Genesis 1:28-29; Prov. 5:19) • God made mankind with spiritual needs to be satisfied (Gen. 1:27; Acts 17:27) • Satisfaction of needs is from God. Improper fulfillment of needs is from the Devil. • In what do you find satisfaction? What fulfills your needs and desires?

Satisfaction • Some look for satisfaction in revenge – “get even” (Mt. 5:43-44; Rom. 12:19-21) • Some look for satisfaction in venting anger – “tell them off” (Prov. 12:14; 13:2-3; 18:20; Eph. 4:31; Col. 3:8) • Some look for satisfaction in the misfortunes of others (Acts 7:9; Gen. 42:21; Rom. 12:15)

  4. Satisfaction • Some look for satisfaction in material things (Prov. 27:20; 30:15; Eccl. 1:8; 4:8; 5:10; Isa. 55:2; Ezek. 7:19; Mt. 16:24; 1 Tim. 6:9-10,17; Heb. 13:5) • Some look for satisfaction in the pleasures of sin (Prov. 14:14; Lk. 15:12-17; Rom. 6:19,23; Heb. 11:25)

Satisfaction • Let us find true satisfaction in knowing God’s care (Psa. 17:15; 36:8; 37:19; 63:5; 90:14; 91:16; 103:5; 107:9; 132:15; 145:16; Jer. 31:14; 50:19) • Let us find true satisfaction in doing the Lord’s will (Prov. 19:23; 13:25; 20:13; Isa. 53:11; 58:10-11; Jn. 4:34; 8:29) • Let us find true satisfaction in the salvation of others (Rom. 9:1; 10:1)

  6. Satisfaction • Let us find true satisfaction in spiritual activities (Psa. 65:4; 122:1) • Let us find true satisfaction in going to heaven (Phil. 3:20; Col. 3:1-3) • What satisfies you?
