Diamond Valley Men’s Golf Club Shark Shoot Out – 12 January 2013 08:00 AM Shotgun Start – Pre-tournament meeting will be held at 07:45 at golf cart staging area Format : ( All play will be from the White Tees - one set of KP’s – Hole-in-one Pot is in play for Members Only.) Holes 1 -6 Partners Best Ball – each player plays his own ball. Both gross scores are recorded and the best gross score is selected and entered on the team scoring line. The ball will be played as it lies. Holes 7-12 Both players hit their tee shot – best tee shot is selected, the other player hits the next shot and the players hit alternate shots until the ball is holed. The ball is played as it lies. Gross score is recorded on the team scoring line Holes 13-18 Scramble format –both players hit drives, select best shot and both players play from there within 1 club length (no closer to the hole) of ball selected. Repeat process till green is reached. Each player putts from 6” (no closer to the hole) of best ball selected on green . A minimum of (2) drives per player is required. Enter gross score on the team scoring line. Scoring The sum of the gross scores for each format above will be totaled. The tournament team handicap will be deducted at the end to arrive at a “Net Score”. Team handicap will be 50% of combined players handicap index. Ties In the event of ties, NO tie breaker will apply. The winners will share. Payouts (2) Gross and (4) Low Net places Closest-to-the-Pin on holes #4,6,13 &17 Distance measuring devices are permitted Local Rules will Apply Rules governed by USGA Rules
