Blue water • Collectable water from rainfall. • The water that falls on roofs and hard surfaces usually flowing into rivers and the sea and recharging the ground water. • In nature the global average proportion of total rainfall that is blue water is about 40%. • Blue water footprint : It is the amount of water abstracted from groundwater or surface water that does not return to the source from which it was withdrawn.
