Fabrics • Consider using organic materials • Consider the use of dyes, printing,finishing before using • Avoid dry clean or special care fabrics • Consider using recycled materials
Components • Check what your components are made from • For example a lot of zips and buckles can be made by electroplating which involves producing a toxic sludge. • Reduce the number of components if possible. • Use recycled components
Production • Use reusable patern blocks • Look at reducing wastage • Use processes which create less waste • Look for methods which could reduce green house gases.
End use • Provide clear aftercare instructions • Include labels that give information on how to recycle • Donate or resell stock that is no longer needed.
