  1. Groove Definition : a narrow channel or path in a surface Action: Look at the brick wall in the classroom and whisperto your neighbor “That is a groove between the bricks!”

  2. Bloom Definition: to open into flower Action: Ball up your hand and pretend that it is a rose bud. Now slowly open your hand as your flower blooms.

  3. Mushroom Definition: usually umbrella-shaped spore-producing body of a fungus Action: Squat down and pretend to be a mushroom slowly growing out of the ground.

  4. Balloon Definition: a colored bag made of thin rubber or plastic that is inflated with air or helium and usually used as a toy or decoration Action: Pretend to blow up a balloon… then pretend to pop it and clap your hands to make the sound.

  5. Macaroon Definition : a cookie made from sugar and egg whites, with ground almonds or pieces of dried coconut folded in Action: Pretend to take a bite out of a cookie and say… “Boy that is one tasty Macaroon!”

  11. Scoop • Definition: a utensil with a long handle and a small bowl, used for serving such things as ice cream Action: Pretend to scoop out some ice cream to make an ice cream sundae!

  12. Hooligan Definition: a young person who is mean or commits crimes Action: Whisper to your neighbor … “Don’t be a bully or a hooligan! You should be nice to everyone!”
