Results • 677 of the 688 (98%) registered clients undertook the HIV test • 95% showed national ID card • All results available within 1 hour including confirmatory tests • 24 were anti-HIV positive (3.5%) • Of these 24 HIV-positive clients, 9 were from the 47 MSM tested (prevalence of 19%) whereas the prevalence among heterosexual males (N=434) and females (N=249) were 1.8% and 3.2% respectively • 80% of HIV-positives came for CD4 testing at the Anonymous Clinic within 3 weeks

  3. Conclusions • Mobile HCT was well received by people living in the Bangkok Metropolitan Area. • Modern Thais are more courageous and enthusiastic for HIV testing. • Further campaign such as this one should be continued in order to normalize HIV testing.
