  1. Supplementary Figure 1. Analysis of YAP1 mRNA expression in human brain tumors . Mean reporter expression values from Affymetrix U133 Plus 2.0 arrays were obtained from the Rembrandt database for 28 control brains, 65 grade II astrocytomas (AII) , 58 grade III astrocytomas (AIII), 228 glioblastomas (GBM), 30 grade II oligodendrogliomas (OII), 23 anaplastic oligodendrogliomas (OIII), 4 grade II oligoastrocytomas (OAII), and 3 anaplastic oligoastrocytomas (OAIII). Significant difference was analyzed between each tumor type compared to control brain by the rank sum test (Mann-Whitney). Significance at the p < 0.001 level (***) was seen in grade II astrocytoma, grade III astrocytoma, and glioblastoma. Significance at the p <0.05 level (*) was seen in anaplastic oligoastrocytoma.
