Board of Trustees Action • Affirm ISOC is both an Organizational and Individual Membership Organization. • Decide whether number of members or commitment of members is more important. • Actively pursue closer ties with related organizations (IETF, IAB, IRTF, ISTF, etc.). • Prepare to take full advantage of United Nations NGO status. • Recognize Chapters as primary Membership vehicle. • Emphasize the need and encourage the development of ties between ISOC Chapters by: • Regional associations and affiliations • “Sister” Chapter associations • General Chapter and Individual sharing of information • Encourage the development of Chapter level organizations to support local projects: • “How to” papers and assistance • Onsite visits and assistance • It is allabout communication and sharing
