Cote Family: I have been meaning to send you a note for months, and I'm sorry that it's taken me so long - just to let you know that I and my whole family have been praying for Jon, for you all and the families of all the hostages.... and that it's important for you to understand what an effect your son's situation has had on us all. Jonathon has done so much for so many people - most who don't know him personally at all. But we know his family, and I'm sure that Jonathon's qualities have sprung from those whom he loves and who love him...  Jon has made us all stronger in our faith and better Christians... Jon has parents and step-parents that are the most amazing faithful people. And that makes me and my family stronger in our belief in our great God and all that he has provided for us. YOU make us all stronger -- knowing of Jonathan makes us all stronger and closer to each other, and more importantly, stronger to God. Watching you , being with you each Sunday over all these months .... I have been so struck by your courage and endless hope. And that no matter what has happened or will happen == you thank the Lord for all that you have each and every day. God's love is truly your foundation and we all see it, feel it and know it to be true as well. You both remind us in such an unselfish, un-intentional way. You both have made me a stronger Christian, just by watching you and noticing how you handle life -- you are doing all and more of what God is asking of you . Your powerful convictions have been spreading thru-out our congregation at Holy Cross and to the whole world in your words, deeds and actions. THANK YOU. Thank you for being such devoted and wonderful parents to Jonathon - and sharing your love for him and your love for your Lord with all of us in such a very difficult situation.
