Overview • A total of 130 MTD trays will be produced at UT • 118 will be installed in STAR by Run 15 • 13 trays currently installed on 3 backlegs • 14 trays are currently constructed and ready to ship • 64 trays should be ready to ship by Aug 2012 (plan to build 70)

Steps in Tray Fabrication & Assembly (1) • Order material for shop work • Order tray tops from Oaks
Steps in tray assembly (2) • Move tray frames to lab & clean
Use DC730 sealant on PEM studs • Use DC730 sealant on inside top tray perimeter • Install gas feed-thrus and seal with DC730
Install HV feed-thrus and seal with DC730 • Mount electronics feed-thru board & seal with DC 730
Steps in tray assembly (3) • Check received MRPCs
Steps in tray assembly (4) • Measure MRPC thickness & fabricate delrin spacers • Install spacers
Steps in tray assembly (5) • Fold pigtails, secure • Secure mounting fixtures • Place MRPC on fixtures • Plugin pigtails
Shim MRPC with delrin blocks & shims • Solder HV wires & seal • Put on bottom & seal • Leak test w/ Magnehelic
Steps in tray assembly (6) • Purge tray with R134A • Install electronics • Noise tests • Timing tests with cosmic rays (future)
