A GOOD CONSCIENCE A. Violate your conscience (1 Cor. 8:7). B. To knowingly disobey the faith (1 Tim. 1:3-5, 18-20). C. When Truth ceases to be our standard, then man makes up his own laws (1 Tim. 4:1-3). II. OUR CONSCIENCE CAN BE DEFILED D. Defilement in one area spreads to others... (Titus 1:15-16; Gen. 3:6-11ff).
A GOOD CONSCIENCE A. Obey the gospel (1 Pet. 3:21; Heb. 9:13-14; 10:21-22). B. Exercise yourself in honest living (Heb. 13:18; Acts 24:14-16; 17:16). III. A DEFILED CONSCIENCE CAN BE CLEANSED "Hereby shall we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our heart before him: because if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, we have boldness toward God" (1 Jn. 3:19-21).
