National Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technology Experimentation Centre (CNH2)
CNH2 • Public Research Organization, founded as a Consortium by the Spanish Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness and the Castile-La Mancha region, 50/50. • Its headquarters are established in Puertollano, Ciudad Real (Castilla-La Mancha). ◙ Puertollano CNH2 Headquarters in Puertollano
CNH2 • Oriented to thedevelopment of alltypes of technologyrelatedwithhydrogen and fuel cells (laboratories, test benches, experimentationstations, fuel cells, storagesystems, engineering, safety, standardization…). Theobjectives are: • To perform research, experimentation and validation of prototypes and devices. • To develop and scale up processes. • To homologate, certify and verify components and systems. • To foster hydrogen and fuel cell technologies at Spanish and international level. • To grant the access of scientists and private companies to their equipment and facilities. • To be the main link between different research centers and private companies in the scope of hydrogen and fuel cells. • To promote and boost the use of the technologies by conducting social perception studies, dissemination and educational activities focused on applications.
CNH2 The CNH2 has a staff of 32 employees.
Activities TheCNH2 operates on the basis of implementation of R&D projects, which can be: • under contract (financed by companies or private entities), • publicly funded (benefiting from international, national or regional public calls in which it participates individually or in collaboration with companies and research centers) or • strategic (internally funded by the center). It also provides different types of services to third parties (private companies and researchers): consulting, characterization and analysis, design and construction of test benches, safety studies and regulations, etc.
