Cam2wrf WRFSI WRF Graphics CAM Progress Done • Setting up on the EGRIS GRID • CAM program has been set-up and input data loaded into LFC and SE. • WRF idem. • Both are up and running separately in the EGRIS GRID. EGRIS-1, Itacuruçá (Brasil), 4.12.2006
Strategies to be adopted • Application Flow Control • CAM job running will be responsible of loading the checkpointing datasets generated into the LFC and AMGA, during the line of execution. • CAM is implemented in FORTRAN90 and we are deciding the best strategy to insert “GRID instructions” during the execution. • Stop the CAM, load data and metadata to catalogs and submitting the WRF dependents jobs with those datasets. UGLY!!!!! • Make system() calls into CAM code to execute catalog commands but not the WRF job submission. • To solve the problem of WRF submission R-GMA or Logging and Book-keeping in an asynchronous way. • CAM job should be continue after “GRID failures” then a persistent mechanism is required to control and monitor the job and WRF sub-jobs. EGRIS-1, Itacuruçá (Brasil), 4.12.2006
Strategies to be adopted • UI Portal to manage and monitor CLIMATE jobs • We are exploring alternatives • Data and metadata managament • Metadata is uploaded using perl script but we are looking the optimal schema. • Partial dataset access. EGRIS-1, Itacuruçá (Brasil), 4.12.2006
