Interested in learning about India’s rich diversity, languages, culture, arts, and dances? • If so, “School of India for Languages and Culture,” commonly known as SILC is the place for you! Take the opportunity to learn of the highly evolved thoughts from India including historical events, festivals, games, food, art, dance, and music! Make connections to the broad Indian community in Minnesota. • SILC strives to develop well-informed individuals in a non religious setting. SILC plays a pivotal role in bridging the cultural gap and enhancing mutual understanding between cultures which are vital for strengthening ties between nations. • Become a part of SILC and enjoy India’s rich experiences! • Parents are invited to volunteer in: • Special Events & Workshops • Substitute teaching & supervision • Class projects & materials • Teaching a new language • Distribution of cookies and juice • SCHEDULE • Held every Saturday, after Labor Day, September through May! • 10:00am to 10:05am -Invocation10:05am to 10:45am -Language10:45am to 11:00am -Recess 11:00am to 11:45am -Social Studies/PreSchool • 11:45am to 12:30pm -Electives • CURRICULUM • Established programs ranging from pre-school to advanced languages and culture classes including electives for students of all ages.
