Managing for Development Results (MfDR) or Results-Based Management (RBM) MfDR or RBM uses information on Government performance to improve decision making and thereby ensure the achievement of development goals. Managing for Results: Way Forward • Develop an overarching policy framework for the introduction of an MfDR system • Build consensus on the challenges and benefits of MfDR within the public sector • Establish an appropriate monitoring and evaluation framework, including a comprehensive indicator system to support the implementation of the Vision 2020 National Strategic Plan and the Operational Plan 2007-2010 • Undertake capacity building in monitoring and evaluation and project cycle management The Programme Management Office Ministry of Planning, Housing and the Environment
