Rifles that Impacted the World By: Casey Tierney
Objective Students will be broken down into groups of 5 where they will be expected to describe, demonstrate, and present knowledge of the rifle that was assigned to them using PowerPoint ,a reenactment video, or another creative way that was approved, each group will be given 2 class periods to prepare and will be evaluated on group participation and overall group presentation.
Day By Day • Students will be introduced to rifle of that day. • Rifle will be presented using PowerPoint. • YouTube and historical DVDs will be used to show how rifle functioned and how it was used in particular war. • Once rifles are all introduced students will be broken into groups and assigned a particular rifle. • Students will be given time to research and work on project. • Students will be required to create PowerPoint, Reenactment Video, or other form of presentation that is approved by teacher.
Materials • Computer • Television • YouTube • DVD • PowerPoint • Camcorder
Evaluation • Evaluation will be based off of: • Participation in class discussions. • Participation in group work. • Performance in the actual group presentationand overall group grade.
In this PowerPoint I used several different tools. The first of the tools I used was font and font color. I also used the Design tab to create the design and color of my slides. I used Word Art to create the titles of my slide. I also used clip art to insert images onto my slide. I used hyperlink to create a direct link to the YouTube homepage. I used bullets and text boxes to create ways to present my information that was important on my slides.
