  4. Hydrogen Bond • Attraction between a hydrogen atom with a positive charge and another atom with a negative charge.

  5. Compound- two or more elements combining together.

  6. SPECIAL PROPERTIES OF WATER • Holds Energy- absorbs and holds large amounts of heat. • Examples- • Ocean/pool takes long time to heat and long time to cool • Sweating- helps maintain internal temperature • Thunderstorms

  7. Expansion- expands as it freezes. Solid form is less dense than liquid- ice floats.

  8. Adhesion & Cohesion- attraction between particles allowing it to stick to itself and other particles. This allows for water movement in plants.
