  2. Introduction We will be talking about disasters in California. Like earthquakes and tsunamis. Not just that but we will tell where is the best place to put a nuclear power plant in California.

  3. Topics of Discussion • We will mostly be talking about how this affects us and others around us. Not just that but we will be talking about huge earthquakes and tsunamis in California!

  4. Tsunamis and earthquakes • One of the biggest earthquakes in California was on Jan.9 1857. 2 people were killed in Fort Tejon. There has been over 80 tsunamis on the coast of California due to offshore earthquakes (near or distant) recorded history sine the year 1700. Thankfully, the majority of these were minor and caused no damage. Of the few that did cause damage, none has had more casualties than that of the 1964 quake which killed 11 people .

  5. Tectonic plates • The three tectonic plates that are affecting California are…. • The Pacific Plate • The North America Plate • The Gorda Plate • These plate are affecting California the most.

  6. THE BIG QUESTION • Now where is the best place to build a nuclear power plant??? Now I have researched a lot, to see where is the least earthquakes in California and where is a free tsunamis zone. SO, The best place in California to build a nuclear power plant is in Los Angeles!!!!
