Recertification and Residency Verification November 2, 2017

This feature allows recruiters to verify the residency and information of families and youth enrolled in MEP, ensuring accuracy and determining if any changes have occurred. The Residency Verification Date field indicates when residency has been verified prior to adding a new enrollment period.

  2. Recertify Fields on COE Each year, recruiter needs to contact family member or youth enrolled in MEP to: 1. Verify that family and/or youth is still in area; 2. To verify that information in MERIL is correct; 3. To determine if a new move has occurred. If so, a new COE would be completed.

  3. Recertify Panel

  4. Residency Verification Date This field is used to indicate when a child or youth’s residency in the district has been verified prior to adding a new enrollment period. 1. Can use date on completed mass enrollment form; 2. Re-enrollment date of district student reporting system; and/or 3. Re-certify date from signature panel on COE (if during right time- frame). A new enrollment period cannot be created unless a child or youth’s residency has been verified.
