Situation 2006 EPICS channel archiver version 2 in use since August 2006 ArchiveViewer (Java client application) available ArchiveExport: command-line tool (debugging and experts only) but: ArchiveViewer not simple to use special installations on PC used for archiver data retrieval necessary Requirements for a new archiver web interface - Easy-to-use (maintenance people) simple exchange of information high flexibility no special installations needed on PC used to retrieve archiver data Development of a new web server application PHP-based different export formats (Text, Excel, Matlab) waveform view available page format information contained in URL (easy information exchange and processing)

  12. Realisation Hardware HP Bl460c G6 Proliant Blade Server with 2x quad-core E5506 @ 2.13GHz CPU, 24GB RAM 1GB/s network. hardware raid connected with a 4 GB/s fibre channel connection. Software operating system: Scientific Linux SL release 5.1 development environment: Eclipse Galileo, Zend Engine, Xdebug v2.0.5 web server: Apache 2.2.3, PHP 5.1.6 JavaScript is used to perform the control of the waveform output on the client side. Matlab export: matio-1.3.4 C library => The core of the EPICS channel archiver interface is ArchiveExport
