  1. A 2015 French class 

  2. My Classroom:

  3. Atmosphere- where we respect one another and where we use the target language where at all possible- “Ici on parlefrançais” on door. • Notice Board- with “les infosen France” et partoutdans le monde. To promote a further awareness of what is happening not just in France but around the world – bring Dev Ed into the class. • Rules in French up on the wall to serve as a reminder.

  4. In my French classes I am mindful and aware of:

  5. ICT- constantly researching topics and using fun and interactive websites online to promote learning. Useful websites are: Duolingo.com, linguascope.com, frenchteachers.net, Tes.co.uk, scoilnet.com, visuwords.com,googletreks.com, Pinterest.comFrench.ie, classtools.com (this list is certainly not exhaustive but the ones I use the most)

  6. Save About     Born: CLICK HERE TO ADD! Family: CLICK HERE TO ADD!

  7. AFL- putting my Learning Intentions on the board and Homework at beginning of class, Using “Show Me Boards”, Traffic Lights, Pass the Parcel, Exit Slips, Dots, Having a “Success Board” in the class.

  8. Differentiation- preparing different worksheets and tests for the different types of learner and different levels. • .

  9. *Numeracy- having the date en français every day, numbers on the wall, birthdays etc. *Literacy- being mindful of spelling, the charts on the wall, it’s everywhere! Key words displayed.

  10. Junior Cycle Key Skills- managing myself, working in groups etc…..keeping an eye on these and implementing them in class. Having them on the wall. Key WORDS ON WALL….

  11. Oral Work for Junior Cert and Leaving Cert- having a variety of interesting techniques to get students up and mixing and talking to one another. Movement, Music, and Motivation! The drinks party: each student has a cup with a question in French inside and they move and mix and chat!

  12. Development Education- giving students a broader understanding of the world around them. Very easy to do in French. Higher level Leaving cert students can use topics like Poverty, Global Warming etc in Oral and Written Work
