This tool allows users to save numbers they have built in WebDewey, including personal and institutional built numbers. It also enables users to contribute their built numbers, making it easier for editorial evaluation and integration into search and display in WebDewey. The Number Building Assistant helps users construct MARC 765 fields and guides them in adding index terms to saved built numbers.

Feedback? • How could this tool be most helpful? • Do you want a way to build numbers manually (bypassing the assistant), with or without 765 fields? • How should the process of manually creating numbers without using 765 fields work? • Would you still like to save such numbers (including seeing them in the hierarchy)? • How strongly should the user be guided through the number building process? • Migrate numbers currently saved as user comments?
