Bell Ringer Preparation. There are 10 stations set up. At each station, there are a number of activities to perform and/or questions to answer. There are 3 of each station ( eg . 1A, 1B, 1C). You will be assigned a letter and a starting place. Eg . Nick Tesla – Station 3C.

There are 10 stations set up. At each station, there are a number of activities to perform and/or questions to answer.
There are 3 of each station (eg. 1A, 1B, 1C). You will be assigned a letter and a starting place. Eg. Nick Tesla – Station 3C.
This means that Nick Tesla would start at 3C, then move to 4C, 5C, etc… He would not do any of the A or B stations!
You will have 6 minutes at each station. When the bell rings, you will move to the next station. If you are at 10A, you will move over to 1A, 1 to 2, 2 to 3, etc.
Please leave all materials at each station! Clean up the station when you are done. NO talking during the bell ringer!
STATIONS 1-3 CHEMISTRY #1 You will be calculating the density of a piece of metal by measuring (V = LxWxH)/finding the volume (displacement), measuring the mass, and calculating the density.
STATIONS 1-3 CHEMISTRY #2 You will be classifying 8 different test tubes as either homogeneous mixtures, heterogeneous mixtures, compounds or elements. Then you will be answering questions about the way the Periodic Table is organized.
STATIONS 1-3 CHEMISTRY #3 You will be performing several experiments to determine if chemical changes or physical changes are occurring and explaining how you know.
STATIONS 4-6 ELECTRICITY #4 You will be drawing a circuit diagram of a circuit already built and calculating current and voltage (potential difference) based on the circuit.
STATIONS 4-6 ELECTRICITY #5 You will be using a voltmeter (multi-meter) to measure the voltage (V) across a light bulb and then doing a calculation to find the resistance (R) given the current (I).
STATIONS 4-6 ELECTRICITY #6 You will be using an ebonite rod and material to experiment with static electricity and the Law of Electric Charges. You will be provided with the Electrostatic Series to determine charges.
STATIONS 7-8 ECOLOGY #7 You will be creating a food web and answering questions based on it. (herbivores, carnivores, producers, consumers, etc)
STATIONS 7-8 ECOLOGY #8 You will be answering questions based on a predator-prey population graph.
STATION 9 SPACE #9 You will be answering questions about stars and Hubble’s Law
STATION 10 INQUIRY #10 You will be answering questions about scientific inquiry – identifying variables, writing a testable question and hypothesis
