UNJLC Concept • Support UN Agencies with logistics assessment, planning, and coordination during emergency phase. • Focus on transport, and shared resources/requirements such as warehouses, airfields, and MCDA. • Provide the focal point for coordination of logistics with LEMA, DPKO, or other military forces. • Staffing from logistics section of UN Agencies and CIMIC Liaison from OCHA-MCDU. • Ad Hoc TOR from Lead Agency/HC/RC or UNAMA.

  3. UNJLC TOR Afghanistan • UNJLC to form in Rome and Deploy to Islamabad. Reports to HC • Managed shared assets including Military Airlift and coordinate access. • Collect and disseminate relevant logistics information and data. • Interface with OCHA Humanitarian Information Centre (HIC) (now AIMS) in Islamabad. • Provide liaison on strategic and operational levels to Coalition forces.

  4. UNJLC Mission • Support the RHC with logistics planning and Civil Military Coordination expertise. • Coordinate the movement of critical Non-Food Items (NFI) and transport assets • Manage shared logistics and transport assets, including MCDA. • Serve as the RHC focal point for MCDA and liaison with OCHA MCDLS Geneva
