2010 – Plans: UNMC Publicity and awareness leading up to the 2010 MDG review Summit – a TV series on Doordarshan • 26/32 episodes on MDG related issues, examining successes and bottlenecks in service delivery of flagship schemes • Showcasing best practices, innovative processes and ventures from the field that have overcome systemic flaws; focussing on improving service delivery • Series to be externally produced by a TV production company • Budget: USD 615053 i.e., INR 2.86 crore (an approximate calculation)
2010 – Plans: UNMC Joint messaging on MDGs at the Commonwealth Games Come Out and Play… for an inclusive, peaceful, healthy and equitable world • Social advertising campaign – Sherzadi – the MDG mascot • The MDG Game – an exhibition match • Stand Up at the Stadium: A R Rahman/celebrity endorsements • Contest for brave hearts who have sports for social causes and to overcome odds that impede achievement of MDGs • MDG merchandise – sports equipment, mugs, T Shirts etc
