  5. The Five Balls + Life as a Student As a student, there will be times you will need help in keeping your balls in the air. There are several resources on campus to help you with your studies. Your RA, friends, and family should be supportive as well.

  6. You Can Do It! You can keep all the balls in the air most of the time by staying organized with one or more of the following time management tips: • Weekly Schedule • Planner • To Do List

Fixed vs. Flexible Commitments • Fixed Commitments: Tasks that must be done at a certain time. • The Weekly Schedule and the Planner help to track your fixed commitments. • Flexible Commitments: Obligations or tasks that you can meet on your own time. • A To-Do List is ideal for Flexible Commitments

  10. To-Do List Hang up Flyers Finish Reading for Class Laundry Complete Program Evaluations Send in Weekly Report

  11. Keep the Balls in the Air • Staying organized can help you keep on track with your responsibilities and doing so will help to keep your stress level manageable. • Be sure to take care of yourself; pushing yourself too hard can strain the balance of your glass balls and that would distract you from keeping your rubber ball in the air.
