Fernway School. In February, Fernway was evaluated for verification. Only great things were expressed about our school. A report was filed with IB in Bethesda and a recommendation was sent to IB Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. .

In February, Fernway was evaluated for verification. • Only great things were expressed about our school. • A report was filed with IB in Bethesda and a recommendation was sent to IB Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. On March 19th, 2013 we heard from IB that we had been named an IB World School! Congratulations Fernway!

Featured Country: Peru • Peru is the third largest country in South America. • Peru has over 1,800 species of birds, more than in all of North America and Europe combined. • The vicuña, an animal related to the llama, has wool so soft that in ancient times only nobles were allowed to wear clothing made from it.. • A High in the mountains in southeastern Peru lie the ruins of Machu Picchu.
