  1. My WWK The Geological processes that take place in and out of earths surface. *The process where the Geographic features are* changed or modified by a natural occasion.

VOLCANOES • There are three types of volcanoes: Shield Volcanoes, Cinder Cones and Strato (composite) volcanoes. • Shield Volcanoes occur when underground magma rivers flow out of the top. • Composite volcanoes consist of lava flows, ash and cinders. • Cinder cone volcanoes are the volcanoes formed solely from the residue from their explosion. *The pre-lava substance found in the earth; usually flows out of volcanoes; really hot stuff*

  3. Earthquakes • Earthquakes occur when two continental plates move and rub against each other causing tremors and sometimes even gaping crevasses. • The severity of earthquakes are graphed and recorded on the Rictor scale. *The layers of earth studies in the studies of plate tectonics.*
