  2. Where does it start? The water cycle starts with bodies of water. Some bodies of water are rivers, lakes, streams, and oceans.

  3. Stage 1: Evaporation Evaporationis what happens when a heat source like the sun heats up water and turns it into water vapor. The water vapor rises into the air and then Stage 2 takes place…

  4. Stage 2: Condensation Condensationis when the water vapor rises into the air which causes temperatures to drop. The water vapor then cools and condenses. Then, stage 3, precipitation begins to form…

  5. Stage 3: Precipitation Precipitation occurs when the water vapor falls back to the earth. Depending on the temperature of the air depends on what form the precipitation comes in. Some forms are rain, sleet, and snow…

  6. Stage 4: Collection The last stage of the water cycle is Collection. Collection is what happens when the precipitation fallsback to earth and it collectsin low places in the land. Forms of collection takes us back to where we begin, in rivers, streams, and oceans.
