Graduation Requirements • Credits = 25 minimum • 4 (each) Math/English/Social Studies • 3 Science • Driver Ed/Health/Phys. Ed 1.5/Assess Prep • MS office (.5 credit) • 1 technology • 5 electives • Graduation Project (will show up in May senior year on transcript)
Additional information • www.eligibilitycenter.org • To register for division 1 or 2 athletic programs • They will review your courses, grades, test scores • Core Class GPA only • Division 1 GPA 2.3 SAT sliding scale • Division 2 GPA 2.0 SAT 820 (R+M) • Register to Vote – age 18 – applications available in the guidance office • Men age 18 MUST register with the Selective Service • www.sss.gov
Senior Dinner/Trip • Senior Dinner • May 29, 2018 HS Cafeteria (payment through Mr. Thomas) • 5:30 pm • Dress is interview attire • Cedar Point • May 31,2018 Cedar Point (payment through Mr. Thomas) • 7:15 am at HS lot • Return time @ 9:30 pm to HS lot • NO BAGS ON BUS (search bags can go under the coach bus) • On the way we stop at a service plaza (not on way back) • Remind your student to obey all rules and time to be back on bus
Senior Recognition • Tuesday May 29, 2018 7:00 pm HS Auditorium • Parents and guests welcome • Appropriate attire/behavior ALL SENIORS IN INTERVIEW ATTIRE • Awards Program information comes from what seniors submit. If it was not submitted it is not listed. • Form was due May 11, 2018 • Recognition Awards (Presidential Excellence, Honor Award, Perfect Attendance, Guidance/Office Assistant, Leadership Recognition), Scholarships (if students list it)
Baccalaureate/Commencement • Baccalaureate June 4, 2018 7:00 pm 1st Methodist Church on Decker Drive • Seniors wear caps and gowns • No tickets required • Interview attire is expected under cap and gown • Commencement June 5, 2018 7:00 pm HS Auditorium • Seniors wear caps & gowns ( no decorated caps) • Families are given 6 reserved seating tickets • No tickets are for admission so as many guests as you want can attend but you get 6 reserved seats. • Fill in empty seats after seniors are seated • Interview attire is expected under cap and gown
Final Transcripts • Use parchment for final HS transcripts • Request for them to be posted AFTER grades are posted • Login information was given to seniors earlier in the year • Will use this method for future request of proof of graduation for jobs or transfer of colleges • Seton Hill, Clarion University/ Pitt/Duquesne • All require transcripts from these institutions • Use the college website or the forms outside my office or they are on the guidance link on the website. • Recommend sending to your child’s college AND one to your address so you can verify it.
Other important reminders • All commencement practices are mandatory • Calendar of events went home in two different mailings • Tickets and caps/gowns will be distributed at practice • May 25 and May 29 are make up days • May 25 will be last day of classes for seniors- Full day • May 29 will be early dismissal for seniors • College Gear day and pictures • Class meeting will be held in morning • May 25 is make up exit interviews starting 12:30 pm • Interview attire is expected and 5 copies of resume
