EUC & MFEER Program Contractors • Multifamily Energy Efficiency Rebates (MFEER) • Cash rebates for installation of qualified products in dwelling units and common areas of apartment complexes, condominiums and mobile home parks.  • The MFEER program does not have agreements with specific contractors to perform work in the program. • These owners may leverage independent contractors for the installation of eligible measures per program requirements. • Participating contractors work with the utility to ensure that they are aware of any changes or updates to the program and/or product offerings. • Energy Upgrade California (EUC) • Contractors meeting the minimum credential requirements and certifications may participate in EUC.

  7. SDG&E: EUC Contractor Requirements • To Become a EUC Contractor: • Attend a mandatory contractor orientation workshop • Sign a contractor participation agreement • Attend the program’s Basic Technical Training

  9. SDG&E: EUC Single Family Program Measures The Basic Upgrade Package includes six required measures that together can reduce your energy consumption by an average of 10%. The fixed incentive is $1,000. • Air sealing • Attic insulation • Duct sealing • Hot water pipe insulation • Thermostatic shut off valve • Combustion safety testing Advanced Upgradeis a customized energy efficiency solution for your home based on an energy assessment by a participating Energy Upgrade California contractor. Incentives range from $1,250 - $4,000. • High-efficiency furnace • Energy-efficient cooling • Water heater system • Energy-efficient windows • Duct replacement • Wall insulation • Energy-efficient lighting fixtures • Other custom energy-saving measures

EUC / MFEER Coordination with CA Department of Community Services and Development (CSD) • Neither the EUC or MFEER program directly coordinate with CSD. • The EUC program does not target low income residents.  • Participating contractors are advised to refer income eligible residents to the Energy Savings Assistance Program.
