Regulations Requiring the Designation Equal Opportunity Officers WIA Recipients: • WIA (29 CFR Part 37), Title VI (29 CFR Part 31), and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act (29 CFR Part 32) Non-WIA Recipients: • Title VI (29 CFR Part 31), and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act (29 CFR Part 32)
Equal Opportunity Role Serve as the staff person(s) responsible for overseeing the recipient’s civil rights responsibilities related to its obligation as a U.S. Department of Labor financial assistance recipient.
Equal Opportunity Responsibilities • Serving as liaison with CRC; • Conducting and/or coordinating the recipient’s equal opportunity monitoring program;
Equal Opportunity Responsibilities • Administering the recipient’s discrimination complaint process; • Reporting equal opportunity matters to the top official;
Equal Opportunity Responsibilities • Administering an LWIA EO Officer designation process (State WIA Agencies); • Coordinating the development of the State’s Methods of Administration (State Workforce Agencies);
