Cure • Consumption or absorption of ascorbic acid (Vitamin C)
Statistics and Facts • Relatively rare disease • 57 people died from scurvy from 1979-2005 in the United States • Generally a problem where malnutrition exists • International Rates of Scurvy are unknown, but are thought to be higher in Desert regions where ascorbic acid is rarer.
