    5. 4 The PeopleSoft Ping benchmarks are being used by a group of Australian institutions for: Upgrade architecture planning. Comparative assessment of environments. Identifying best practices. The results have been found to offer a valid point of comparison among different PeopleSoft sites. Definitive and consistent patterns were found.

    6. 5 Tony Neaton has solicited PeopleSoft Ping information from all member institutions of the HEUG in order to collate the results and provide information on the results. The CSU is interested in gathering Ping statistics in order to: Provide a basis for comparison between environments system wide. Assist in determining the root cause of performance issues when they do arise.

    11. 10 Run the benchmark at a time when the system is experiencing low usage. This is different for every campus, but early in the morning is probably a good time. The CSU is requesting that benchmarks be provided for HCM 8.9 and FIN 8.4 production instances. Additional information from non-production environments can also be very helpful and would be greatly appreciated.
