Teaching & Assessment Teaching time is divided between lectures, tutorial classes, seminars and workshops. These average a total of 10-12 hours per week and, as at all UK universities, much of your time will be spent in independent study. A variety of assessment methods:

Head of First Year • There are four Heads of First Year: Accounting Economics (including Economics & Management) Management & HRM (including Management with Marketing) International Business (including International Business & Economics and International Business & Finance) • Support the transition to independent learning • Personal tutor • Lecturer for compulsory modules in the first year • Together, oversee and develop the first year experience

Entry requirements • All Business Courses: AAA (except for Transport Studies & Geography AAA-AAB) • Finance, Economics GCSE Maths A • Management, Marketing GCSE Maths B • HRM, International Business GCSE Maths C • All courses GCSE English Language B No Critical Thinking, General Studies or Extended Project
Personal Statement tips • Evidence of enthusiasm and aptitude for the subject you wish to study. • Provide evidence of skills, knowledge and attributes that will enable you both to benefit from and to make a positive contribution to the programme of your choice • Demonstration of how relevant extracurricular activities and work experience have enhanced your knowledge and skills in your chosen subject • Display strong literacy skills with the ability to write clearly and construct sentences and paragraphs effectively including spelling, punctuation and grammar. • Be yourself!
