Ltd, is a social enterprise imparting knowledge and enriching participants through proactive outbound education and training globally since 1994. Going by the tagline The Outdoor School, we offer carefully curated outdoor training and recreational programmes for students, corporates and travellers across all age groups. Our programmes follow an interdisciplinary, experiential, collaborative approach and learning through inquiry across domains of adventure sports, wildlife, community action, nature, art, culture, heritage, field sciences, humanities and life skills. Over 1,00,000 Trailblazers participants have come back with memories of fun, adventure, learning and a better understanding of themselves and the planet Earth. • Learning Outcomes • IAYP(Service, Adventurous Journey, Skills, Physical Recreation) • Service- Meet and engage with locals and members of the Society for Research and Technological Initiatives (Srishti) to understand agriculture based activities are done (based on permissions) • Adventurous Journey-Learn more about yourself through your interactions with other people and the greatest forces of nature- the river and the mountains. Attempt and complete a challenging trek and experience the joy and accomplishment of making it to the top! • Skills- Learn the basics of Garhwali language– a musical language with charming simplicity, and watch a local Garhwali folk dance • Physical Recreation- Learn teambuilding and independence through adventure sports like white water rafting, rappelling and trekking • Environmental Awareness: to appreciate and cherish nature through coming in contact with various flora and fauna • Confidence Building- Participate in activities that allow you to become more confident in your abilities in the outdoors Rafting is subject to availability and permissions. Parents circular IAYP SILVER LEVEL CAMP Camp River Rocks, Uttarakhand Grade- 9,10,11 Dates- 31st August- 4th September 2018 About the camp Campsite at an altitude of 1968 ft, is on the banks of Alaknanda river which is one of the two headstreams of the Ganges. The campsite has a great scope for adventure sports, nature appreciation and also team building. About 110 km from Haridwar the nearest railhead, campsite is well connected but yet retains its natural settings and is a haven for birdlife SAMPLE ITINERARY Rafting is subject to availability and permissions. 4. Camp details • COST INCLUDEs: • Travel:AC transport for transfers from airport to railway station and back on day 1 and day 5. 3 AC train travel from Delhi to Haridwar and Dehradun to Delhi(based on availability). No-AC coach for transfers from Dehradun to campsite and back and for other visits, tolls, service tax (AC does not function in the hills). Approximate flight cost from Kolkata to Delhi and back. • Accommodation:Accommodation on quadruple sharing in Swiss tents furnished with camp cots, mattresses, quilts and ensuite facilities (western style toilet, bathroom with running water, attached with each tent) • Food:Unlimited Vegetarian, Jain buffet meals – breakfast, lunch, evening snacks & dinner (Evening snack on day 1 to breakfast on day 5). Bottled water and snack hampers during bus journeys. Filtered water at the campsite • Content: Fully supervised programme, adventure activities and equipment by trained staff from Trailblazers focusing on the Silver level of IAYP. • Insurance: Accident insurance • Entry fees and taxes: Entry fees, Taxes: Wherever applicable if any • COST DOES NOT INCLUDE: • Evacuation: Any emergency evacuation or medical expenses • Others: Aerated drinks, Extra bottled water, Extra meals based on flights/trains, shopping, telephone calls or Porter services, camera, video charges at monuments. Entry fees at monuments are for Indian Nationals. Tips, gratuities • safety, insurance and medical facilities: • In TRAILBLAZERS outdoor programmes, safety is paramount. No swimming or overnight road journey is allowed in any of our campsites. Life jackets would be strictly used during all water activities. Each participant is insured to a tune of Rs. 50,000/-with The New India Assurance Company Ltd. A fully equipped TRAILBLAZERS medical kit with trained instructors in first-aid will be available. Dispensary with local doctors is contactable from the camps. Any medical expenses to be borne by participants. • CANCELLATION POLICY: • In case of cancellations for reasons whatsoever including any natural calamity, the following conditions would apply: The refunds for children would be made after Minimum Deduction - •  1. Administrative Charges Rs.500/- • 2. Agent’s charge for Train/Flight booking & cancellation at actual. • 3. Train / flight ticket cancellation charges • 4. Hotel retention charges for cancellation of stay  • When cancellation is done: • 105-90 days before departure -95 % will be refunded after the minimum deduction. • 89 -60 days before departure - 80% will be refunded after the minimum deduction. • 59-40 days before departure - 50% will be refunded after the minimum deduction. • 39 -16 days before departure- 25% will be refunded after the minimum deduction. • 15 -0 days before departure- No refund. • PROCEDURE FOR AVAILING REFUND : a) Letter from parents addressed to TRAILBLAZERS with a copy to the principal, with complete details of student & payment made and the date of cancellation. • b) Kindly mention the name in whose favour the cheque to be drawn. • c) Refund shall be done to the INSTITUTION within 07 days (excluding public & bank holidays) after the completion of the camp.
