Sabal “Trailblazer” Aftercare Program • Hidden Potential Award winner for including students with Autism in our program. • Nominated for the past two years. • Trained aftercare staff in school-wide PBS expectations • PBS coordinator works with ESE students and staff to re-teach expectations • Staff support with reinforcing rewards with “Trailbucks”

  4. Features “Trailblazer of the Week”Student models SABAL expectations Safety First Always Respectful Be Responsible Actively Engaged Listen Attentively

  5. Aftercare Program Supports PBS: • Uses same positive reinforcement system as school for individual students • Students enter weekly to be the Student of the Week. This is based on “Trailbucks” received. • Student of the Week has special privileges that the students picked. • Staff teach, and re-teach the expectations. Direct students what they look like and sound like in each location.
