  3. Situated majestically 197 km away from the north east of Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, , Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserveis home to highest density of Royal Bengal Tigers in India. The location is perfectly meant for white tigers and many other wild varieties including Nilgai, Chausingha, Chital, Chinkara, Wild Boar and sometimes a Fox or Jackal in the Vindhyan ranges of Central India.

  4. The name is derived from a legendary tale from Ramayana when Rama and Lakshmana gave the name to the most prominent hillock of the area from where they use to keep a vigil on Lanka. This place is also famous for the Bandhavgarh Fort made by Maharaja Martand Singh of Rewa. BandhavgarhNational Park was once the hunting preserve of the Maharaja of Rewa and at present is the natural habitat for white tigers and of course is one of the tourist attractions among the nature lovers. The visitors will surely be fascinated with the long terrains with rocky hill ranges running roughly combined with grassy swamps and forested valleys.

  5. Bandhavgarh National Park is one of the finest national parks in India and is being recognized as the distinction of harboring the highest density of Royal Bengal Tigers. The park is spread over an area of 448 sq km with a cross area of 105 sq km. The centre of the area is glorified with this sanctuary with a rising hill of 811 meters above the sea level which is surrounded by the sloping valleys. A tourist will surely be magnetized to find that these valleys end in small, swampy meadows which are locally known as “bohera”.

The majestic Bandhavgarh Reserve came into recognition at 1968 and keeping in mind about the preservation of natural wildlife especially of the Bengal tigers whose species were deteriorating day by day; this park was being established. The Bandhavgarh National Parkis the only wild reserve in India which is remained unspoiled and is the most natural habitat for most of the wild creatures. To maintain its natural look and feel, the wildlife authority is making multiple attempts so that the natural environment should be retained for many coming years and we should enjoy the glimpses of the royal Bengal Tigers whose species were extinguishing from the earth.
