3. Endocytosis To define this term consider the three roots

4. How does endocytosis work? During endocytosis the membrane folds in and forms a small pouch.
This small pouch is where substances are trapped and surrounded by lipids.
This pouch then pinches off from the cell membrane to become a vesicle.
