  2. “I didn't want to be boxed in by any one company or any one design problem. I thought I'd let my mind run freely. I wanted to design everything a woman puts on her body. I felt that designing for the entire body was like an artist's composition.” • Bonnie’s earliest influence was her mother • Handed her scrap fabric to create her own designs. • The photo above is Bonnie wearing a dress designed by herself and sewn by her mother (Eunice, CA 1927)

  3. By 1942 became a costume designer for Twentieth Century-Fox. • From 1943-1949 designed female character costumes for more than sixty films. Some Notable Films Bonnie Designed for: • Laura (1944) • A Tree Grows in Brooklyn (1945) • Anna and the King of Siam (1946)
