  1. Program Review Cycle The purpose of the program review process is: ¨       To promote program health and vitality ¨       To foster a culture of assessment ¨       To link programs to the institutional mission The following three-step approach to program review is modeled after the practice observed in the health industry. Program Profile In year one and in each subsequent year the office of institutional research will create and maintain a program profile, in the form of an executive dashboard, for all university academic programs. This profile will serve as a baseline measure of program health based on readily available institutional data. Faculty Development In the fall semester prior to a program’s spring review, select faculty members will participate in assessment workshops to become versed in the language and methods of program review. These faculty members will formulate the review structure that best addresses the research questions prompted by their program profile. Program Review Detail On a five-year cycle, every program will carry out a focused review based on the questions and structure generated by their faculty.
