2. Programs First ,you need to find a game making programs. The program I chose was Game Maker Studio

3. The Idea Before you start you need to come up with an idea about what the game is about

4. characters When you have an idea, you need to make the characters. Game Maker Studio has a list of characters you can chose from but it also has a program where you can make your own. You can also use Microsoft paint

5. Rooms A room is where the game takes place.. You can add a room by clicking the add room tab. To add a background click add background. again you can use Microsoft paint to make a background

6. Sprites A sprite is any main object in a game like the character and building. To add a sprite click add spite

7. Variables Variables are things like speed and direction. To change the variables of an object click on the object and it will give the option to change the speed

8. controls Game Maker Studio only makes computer games so the only controllers are the keyboard and mouse. To change the controls of the character click on it and an options will appear to change the controls

9. HUD (heads up display) To make a HUD click the HUD tab, here you can make the score, health, and other things you might need.

10. Sounds To add sound click the sounds tab. Game Maker Studio has a list of sounds you can choose from. Game Maker Studio also has a recording program to make your own sounds

11. Testing When you think the game is done have some friends test it. If they like it and publish it.
