Our business Management of the annual GMC trainee survey: • National survey to monitor the quality of medical education and training in the UK. • Results available on the GMC website. • HEE NW Trainee response rate: 2015: 98.6% 2016: 100%
Our business • Managing doctors and dentists in training who are in difficulties • 2-4% at any one time (about 200) • Ensuring all trainees with GMC conditions are compliant and have a workplace reporter • Responding to GMC enquiries about trainees and all doctors who declare an educational role • Transferring information to the next Responsible Officer • Taking responsibility for legal challenge.

Our business Establishing and managing revalidation processes. • Managing the business of the Designated Body • 5,898 trainees on the HEE NW Connect List. • 2,000 recommendations for revalidation made each year • Response to the GMC on all trainees and trainers where a case is opened
