The Assyrians then conquered the Babylonians, and developed great achievements themselves, many being inventions. • -The first achievement of the Assyrians was the invention of the battering ram to knock down thick walls to other cities • Second was the first usage of aqueducts, pipes to carry water, that gave them water from up to 30 miles away • Last was the development of a greatly feared military because of their new strategies, use of hoses and iron weapons, and their skill in siege warfare
After the fall of the Assyrians, the Neo-Babylonians came with the leader of Nebuchadrezzer, with their intelligent achievements • The first achievement of the Neo-Babylonians was their discoveries that lead to the present day sixty minute hour and seven day week • The second was the learning of past attacks to build very thick walls to surround cities • The knowledge to keep capital city safe
