ALL Kids Plus • Extra or expanded services for Enrollees With Special Health Care Needs (CSHCN) • State match provided by governmental entities: Alabama Department of Mental Health & Mental Retardation Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services, Division of Children’s Rehabilitation Service
ALL Kids Plus Eligibility • Must be enrolled in ALL Kids • Meet eligibility criteria of Participating Agency from which ALL Kids PLUS service(s) are being sought: • Need service(s) which the participating agency can provide or arrange • Need service(s) for which the participating agency has funding available to provide
ALL Kids Plus Benefits • Limits Beyond Those in Basic Benefit Package • Medically necessary services not covered in basic benefit package
Results of Access to Care Study: • Access to health care has improved for all children in ALL Kids • More children have a regular health care provider • Fewer children are going • without needed medical care • Care can be accessed in a more timely manner
More Results: • Compared to enrollees without special health care needs, enrollees with special health care needs experienced significantly more improved access to health care after enrolling in ALL Kids
