  2. Once upon a time, there was a famous violinist who lived in Vienna . was called Albert. He Albert

  3. One silent night, someone knocked on the door. ‘Who’s it?’ asked Albert. Oh! It was a fairy!

  4. Then the fairy began to say, ‘ You’re very famous so I will give you three wishes. Wish carefully!’ After that the fairy disappeared.

  5. One fine day, Albert saw a beautiful violin at his friend’s home.

  6. So he said, ‘I wish I can have a beautiful violin like this.’ Suddenly a beautiful violin appeared in front of his eyes.

  7. The next day, he saw a more beautiful violin in a shop but it was too expensive! ‘I hope I can have a more beautiful violin.’

  8. Several minutes later, a more beautiful violin appeared before his legs.

  9. A week later, Albert saw the most beautiful violin that he had ever seen.

  10. So he exclaimed, ‘I do hope I can have the most beautiful violin in the world!

  11. An hour later, the most beautiful violin appeared behind Albert. An hour later…...

  12. One day he performed in a concert. He began to play his most beautiful violin. “Pop!” “My goodness! My lovely violin’s strings are broken!”

  13. So he could not play the music any more and the concert had to be stopped.

  14. Albert felt upset and he ran away. From then on, he did not want to practise the violin. He lost all the things he had.

  15. Suddenly, the fairy appeared in front of Albert. “You must wake up now,” the fairy cried, “you can’t waste your valuable time.”

  16. Albert understood that he was wasting his time. He tried his best and he became a famous violinist again.

  17. He could play beautiful music with any violins.
