Our mission and values • Mission: "to Send, Go and Pray till our vision becomes reality” • Values: - we are a people of prayer and action- we pursue excellence while extending grace- we openly discuss any ideological conflicts while fully submitting to the final decision- we are accountable to each other

  8. Trip Sharing • Saturday: Day 1 – Arrive in Kunming, Yunnan

  9. Sunday - Day 2 • Travel to local churches and split into three groups Location 1 Fire festival – a great cultural experience! Location 2 Location 3

  10. Monday – Day 3 Exploratory talks on future summer camp – July 2013? Sharing with local workers

  11. Tuesday – Day 4 Blessing the locals Exploratory talks with key leaders

  12. Wednesday – Day 5 Checking out the land Planning and prayer walk

  13. Thursday – Day 6 • Equipping sessions

  14. Friday - Day 7 More time with local congregations

  15. Day 8 More of God’s amazing scheduling!

  16. Other 2012 trips • 12 Nov to 11 Dec: Laying groundwork that will help start up new youth works • 15-18 Dec: Strategy/ see-the-land trip

  17. What’s next in 2013? • Help local congregations establish a strong children and youth work • Help new locations start up a children’s work Key strategies: • 12 local workers guided by a mature full-timer • Short-term teams to support • Good relationships with authorities and elders

  18. How to get there SEND - Mobilize a Core Team and waves of small trip-teams - HKD270,000+ GO - Waves of teams going through the year - Encouraging, equipping and supporting local outreach efforts PRAY • Monthly prayer meeting • Monthly email updates to share prayer needs

  19. How you can be part of this: SEND • Friend-raise: share about this work with trusted believers and link us up with people who can help • Organize and send-off short-term teams • Loads of behind-the-scenes admin help needed! • Give/ fund-raise • Be part of the HK Core Team

How you can be part of this: GO 3 types of trips: • Short training (3-4 days) eg. a “how to” workshop to people you know • Strategic specific purpose trip (7-9 days) eg. youth camp, prayer and planning trips (c) Community engagement trip (7-9 days) eg. public health education, teaching English camp • Trips (a) and (b) are for believers only.

  21. How you can be part of this: GO God-willing, 2013 trips: • May: prayer and strategy trip • July: official Island ECC trip • August: youth camp • December: Christmas outreach Plus: as many short training and ‘bless the workers” trips as possible/ necessary!

  22. How you can be part of this: PRAY POWERING UP FOR THE FIELD • Get onto our monthly prayer update list • Join us for our monthly prayer meeting: it’s generally every 2nd Sunday of the month at 8/F, Island ECC (you can email Mag at proclaim01@yahoo.com to confirm time and place).
