How is Congress an investigatory agency? They look for things wrong in the Executive Branch, Watergate, white water, Iran-Contra affair, Monica Lewinski…and all the rest.
What are Standing Committees? Permanent long standing committees, study new bills that fall under its jurisdiction, investigates problems that need legislative action.
How does Congress impeach people? The house is like the Grand jury and they file the impeachment charges, the US Senate acts like the court, and they look at the evidence and vote guilty/not guilty.
