What I will bring to this faculty Physical Education & Recreation Position at WKUbased on the WKU’s Position Vacancy Notice
4. 4+ years of teaching innovative games, individual & team sports
5. I Have taught Graduate courses at all the university/ colleges that I have been at except at current position Lane College (which has no graduate programs)
6. I have won a teaching excellence award in the past and consistently rank higher on Student Evals than my peers
7. Throughout my Higher Ed teaching career I have encouraged ALL my teacher candidates to meet the needs of ALL the diverse students that they will impact throughout their teaching careers
8. Commitment to University, Professional and Community Service.
9. Commitment to utilizing cutting edge technology: CMS, digital video, pen-based input in my teaching.
9. 10+ years of teaching Adapted PE courses which includes 6+ years of APE state certification courses with a university/community based APE lab component.
10. Active research interest in attitudinal changes in pre-service teacher candidates from Intro PE course to the Dept’s Capstone Course

PEATID-IIIThis survey contains a series of statements which express beliefs about teaching individuals with disabilities in your regular physical education classes.
PEATID-IIII’m currently in the process of modifying:1- the variables (adding Urban and Rural settings, and Race2- Language3- Content
1. Update the Physical Education P-12 Initial Program Document that was created 2/2002
2. Infuse technology throughout the department’s curriculum and student teaching program
3. Create a “Fishing Has No Boundaries” Chapter in the area and become involved as a member of the area’s disabled committees/programs
4. Create an on-campus/ & community-based disabled lab component for the Adapted PE courses.
5. Become involved at the BOD level of KAHPERD similar to the positions I held in Louisiana & Wisconsin
